We have a lot going on this summer here at Emmaus Glasgow!
First up we have our companion Mick who is courageously shaving his head to raise funds for cancer research. The Brave The Shave challenge aims to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Research and Mick will shed his locks on Thursday 15th June.
By sponsoring Mick's head shave, you'll be helping raise vital funds for cancer research, enabling Macmillan to provide invaluable support to individuals and families affected by this disease. Your contribution will make a significant impact on the lives of those battling cancer, giving them hope and assistance during challenging times. You can support Mick and donate here.
Solidarity Sale - Friday, 16th June: Supporting Emmaus International
On Friday, 16th June, Emmaus Glasgow will host a solidarity sale where all proceeds will go to Emmaus International, a global movement fighting poverty and homelessness. This event is an opportunity for you to shop consciously while directly supporting initiatives that empower communities worldwide.
We’ll have our usual wide range of high-quality, preloved items including, furniture, electronics, lighting, household goods and more. By purchasing these items, you're not only acquiring unique treasures but also contributing to a cause that aims to improve the lives of vulnerable individuals and families internationally. Your participation in the solidarity sale will help create lasting change and bring hope to those in need.
End-of-Term Food Parcels for Local Primary School Families
On Thursday, 22nd June, Emmaus Glasgow will be donating end-of-term food parcels to families at a local primary school. We understand the challenges faced by families, especially during school breaks. We aim to alleviate some of the pressures they may experience and provide them with essential supplies.
We are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those in our community and we have so much more coming up in the next few months including an exciting pop up shop! Watch this space!
