Work with Emmaus Glasgow.

How would you like to apply your skills to not only the future of a great charity but also directly help change people lives in the process?

Emmaus Glasgow is a Charity that gives a home and meaningful work to formerly homeless men and women (we call companions), who live and work in our community and sales outlets. We collect, refurbish, upcycle, sell, and deliver all manner of furniture and household goods.

Part-Time Support Worker (Resident training & Support)

Closing Date: MONDAY 12th AUGUST 24

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £25,500 PA. incuding on call payment + bonus - Pro Rata (£12,750)

Hours Per Week: 18 hours

Vacancy Type: part-time - initially funded for 2 years

This role will be responsible for the provision of support to companions, who need help both emotionally and practically, so they can live and work in the community, develop life skills and realise their full potential to move on when they are ready. Part of this role will be to lead (with the CEO) on registering our service with SQA as a registered learning centre (we also have a consultant agency to assist us with this). Once this has been completed you will be responsible for supporting and assessing our residents to gain basic qualifications. We aim to give our ‘Companions’ a place to live, learn and gain valuable qualifications and experience.

If you have great communications skills, experience of training and supporting people with complex needs and a positive “can do” attitude we would love to hear from you. You will be joining a friendly and enthusiastic team who are passionate about what they do.
